I'm shaking it but you can't tell

So, following with one of my 2013 Mottos "do stuff and move your butt" I signed myself up for a belly dancind course.

If you know me this might be your reaction:

Yes, I have no measurable sense of Rythm. I'm the poor one in gym class that stays in a corner and is unable to follow any choreography, the one you think "maybe its her first day" but in fact has been attending to that same class for one year!

But hey, when 4 different people tells you "oh that could be good for your hip and its fun" you tell yourself, wtf forget Shakira I'm coming!

It is fun, it is difficult.  I can't wait to wear a candleholder in my head around the house....

Until I learn I'll do my own thng, like this little dude, shake it babe!

Hell

Spring cleaning time has begun, Sona is extremely unhappy, the right spot is one of her favorite places to spent Monday mornings.

Un Saturday we made a "Rita del Bakalao" including two Brokis, Interio, Ikea and a weird store Placid called Imperio (its not the real name, he is very creative). We did'nt manage to go to Jumbo (I love hardware stores) but we made a pretty dam job.

Spring is coming and more hours of daylight mean you can actually see your home much better and realise all the dust your books have been collectings those lasts months, so our new Billy will have doors (which will also prevent our cats and my future roomate to touch/break anything).

Next week, Jumbo!

5 regrets of the dying

Last Wednesday I wrote down some simple things I really want to do, today my Google reader showed me this article.

2012 may not be the year when the world ends but it certainly is one to think about things. Placids brain is also making "chup chup" since Christmas.

A palliative nurse recorded the most common regrets people have at the end of their life. I know it might not be the best statistical and scientific study about it but they all make a lot of sense.
  1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
  2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard. - (no surprise this was a popular one for men)
  3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
  4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
  5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.
Nothing about I wish I had a bigger car, a smaller ass, a cleaner house or any of the crap is usually worring me/everybody. So, homework for 2012, realise what really matters and enjoy it, for two!

So my homework for this year until now is....
  1. Make a healthy happy baby.
  2. Recovering one 100% from my surgery and reach my "allways 0 pain goal".
  3. Try to avoid squashing Placid while sleeping in June when I'll be fat like a whale.
  4. Enjoy life.
hmmm... I'm hungry now.

Things I really really want to do

1. Jump and dance a silly song like Danza Kuduro.
2. Eat "jamon serrano".
3. Ride my bike on the street instead of my balcony even if its freezing like today.
4. Sledge on a big Swiss mountain.
5. Going to the cinema with Placid.
6. Read a GOOD book (GOOD=the ones you cry when you end them because you don't want the reading to end).
7. Be able to strech my butt without help.
8. Wear high heels.
9. Decide a new hair cut I like.
10. Get it.

On holiday

The truth is I'm not on holiday, on dezember the 1st I got my surgery to solve my femoroacetabular impingement problem in both hips. Now I walk around with crutches and I almost have no pain, I p`romise to write something about when I fell better.

Being at home to recover from surgery is extremely boring, the most exciting thing of those last days has been the amazing fact that I'm able to put on my sock alone again. iuju!

Home alone

For a long time Placid and me have been wondering, WHERE ARE SWISS MEN ON SATURDAYS?!!!

The question comes after observing that every satuday you see a lot of women alone everytwhere, shops, reastaurant, the street.... during the week is normal, many women with small children don't work so you expecte to see more women than men flying solo during the week, but on Saturdays!?

On Sunday I got the answer, they are all in the swimming pool, with the kids! The same swimming pool where I suppoused to swim 1000 mts. to stay in shape for my upcoming surgery (yes I know I still haven't said anything about this and btw I'm unable to swimm 1000 mts :-( ) and guess what, its impossible to swimm with 50 kinds jumping around.

Luckly they have a swimming pool just for serious people, the bad thing is that many swiss people above 50 are not very good swimmers (don't kill me thats what I have seen!) so at the end I had to choose between the jumping kids and the floating croquettes.

Sometimes life is about awful choices... I chose the croquettes swimming pool and I almost land with my face on a poor fat woman ass. Not very nice for a Sunday morning....

Big Hair

Now that I have long hair I want to use, thats how I want to dress up in Halloween/Carnival/next Sunday. Joan Cusak what a woman!

Plus, big hair is great, is a good insulation against cold weather, makes you look taller and its a discrete place to keep your tampons if you have your period.

NICE SONGS

Today I want to share a beautiful spanish song than makes my heart swell. The translation doesn't rime but it gives a nice overview of the smooth and exquisite beauty of this wonderful language.

El dolor mas doloroso, el dolor mas inhumano
es pillarse los cojones con la tapa del piano...
Badabadum, badun, badun, badun, baderooo.....
Badabadum, badun, badun, badun, baderooo.....

El dolor mas doloroso, el dolor mas inhumano
es meterse por el culo 10 bombonas de butano...
Badabadum, badun, badun, badun, baderooo.....
Badabadum, badun, badun, badun, baderooo.....

Translation (its impossible to rime this):

The most painful pain, the most inhuman pain
Is to squash your balls with a piano lid
Badabadum, badun, badun, badun, baderooo.....
Badabadum, badun, badun, badun, baderooo.....

The most painful pain, the most inhuman pain
is to put in your ass, 10 cylinders of butane gas
Badabadum, badun, badun, badun, baderooo.....
Badabadum, badun, badun, badun, baderooo.....

Cleaninung up

I'm absolutely obssesed with this images from artist  Ursus Wehrli  it reminds me when my mums goddaughter used to come home and tidy up everything. She was about 4 years old and spoke like she was 70, she was just amazing, she could spend two hours putting organising, classifiying and studing everything that was on my table.

I remember one day she asked me to organise my bags, neckalces, bracelets and other stuff that was all over the room, she made little groups by size, colour. I always have some (new of course) tampons in my bags,  just in case, so usually my closet is full of them, all the ones she found where in a perfect row by colour!

When she asked what those "weird pens" were, I told her to ask her mum ja ja ja !

It makes me feel so old to see she is a beautiful young woman now!

See the rest here.

Things I learn crying

1. Time goes by and something that fits you today may not fit you in 2 years.
2. When packign for a friends wedding abroad... you shoud try your dress and bring an extra one, just in case.
3. If you don't and you find yourself with 1,5 hours prior the wedding with nothing to wear... well think someone has allready been there ME!
4. The solution? go naked or grab your credit card and prepare to spend some money really fast.

Julia, Julia... so smart so stupid!

Portu-details

Back to work

I know... I've been dead for many weeks but the days before and after summer vacation are always pretty hectic and during them... well I don't want to even touch my computer!!

Our holdays in Portugal were, I loved the country, the landscapes, the FOOD! Omg I can't stop thinking about "almejas a bulhao pato", they were so good!

This was also our first trip with another couple, Nadja and Pol turned out to be great travel companion and we had tons of fun.

There where only two black spots: my not-so-fun-fuck-me-i'm-stupid adventure prior my friends wedding (more details soon) and this hotel (just suitable for deaf people or vampires).

art?

This new art? post come from my very own hands. There is nthing better to do on a girls only weekend than cultural and artistic activities like building sand sculptures with a bunch of creative crazy (and beautiful) women.

Oh yes... its exactly what you think.

I am...

still working these days but my brain is on holiday.  I dont want to work, I want to eat, sleep, read ... buf....  my brain is here:

This summer we are going to Portugal :-)  The weekend with my girls in Mallorca made me realise I actually miss the sea.

The lake is wonderful and I still believe Zürich is one of the most beautiful cities in the world but I miss the happiness of licking the salt of your arm and scratching your butt covered in white sand.

The main reason to go to Portugal is a wedding, one of our friends is getting married there so I will probably get a fun pre-wedding-hairdresser story to tell when I come back.

I love going to unknown hairdressers, I find it exciting, you can end up looking like this:

My last experiencie was here in Zürich and it looked like crap, I felt like the mushroom from Mario Bros.

Things you should avoid if you are planning to get laid this summer - this one if for the boys

I know its summer and many people (wrong!) don't want to read a lot during vacation so I will use 3 pretty clear images:

1. Try to keep it casual, yes, everybody will notice you have arrived but maybe its not for good.

2. I know Shakira is famous thanks to her exotic dance moves but the "octopus vampire shake your booty" dance is just a good choice if you make sure the girl you are trying to seduce has at least the same alcholo level as you.
3. Seriously... there is nothing I can say about this.

I allways tell Placid he should change colour...

But I'm not the one who spents ours pairing socks :-P

Talking about socks, here is a video to learn how to fold them, and yes thats my mums foot.
