5 regrets of the dying

Last Wednesday I wrote down some simple things I really want to do, today my Google reader showed me this article.

2012 may not be the year when the world ends but it certainly is one to think about things. Placids brain is also making "chup chup" since Christmas.

A palliative nurse recorded the most common regrets people have at the end of their life. I know it might not be the best statistical and scientific study about it but they all make a lot of sense.

I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
I wish I hadn’t worked so hard. - (no surprise this was a popular one for men)
I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
I wish that I had let myself be happier.

Nothing about I wish I had a bigger car, a smaller ass, a cleaner house or any of the crap is usually worring me/everybody. So, homework for 2012, realise what really matters and enjoy it, for two!

So my homework for this year until now is....

Make a healthy happy baby.
Recovering one 100% from my surgery and reach my "allways 0 pain goal".
Try to avoid squashing Placid while sleeping in June when I'll be fat like a whale.
Enjoy life.

Hips don't lie and in my case they are pretty busy right now. One week after my surgery I found out I was pregnant, oh yeah, it was absolutely not expected and is the reason I haven't post a single thing, I didn't know what to write!

Due day is the 30th of July if the summer is hot in Barcelona I advise you to stay away being fat in summer is awful and I expect to be really grumpy!

Btw my hips are recovering, surgery went well but I'm still unable to cut my own toe nails, nothing makes you feel more stupid that that, believe me.

On holiday

The truth is I'm not on holiday, on dezember the 1st I got my surgery to solve my femoroacetabular impingement problem in both hips. Now I walk around with crutches and I almost have no pain, I p`romise to write something about when I fell better.

Being at home to recover from surgery is extremely boring, the most exciting thing of those last days has been the amazing fact that I'm able to put on my sock alone again. iuju!

Oh yes, this is me, after a shopping spree while being on drugs. I also went to buy some groceries in the wonderful Galvany market (seriously people is extremely nice there, I was surprised, a woman gave me a free piece of chicken - I was suppoused to show my habbilities to be a good wife despite the economic crisis getting some free food- and after some minutes talking she realised that we were a bachellorete party and not just some excentrical Lady Gaga fans) .

My girls tell me the outfit was inspired by the Duchess of Alba, they are so nice....

For a long time Placid and me have been wondering, WHERE ARE SWISS MEN ON SATURDAYS?!!!

The question comes after observing that every satuday you see a lot of women alone everytwhere, shops, reastaurant, the street.... during the week is normal, many women with small children don't work so you expecte to see more women than men flying solo during the week, but on Saturdays!?

On Sunday I got the answer, they are all in the swimming pool, with the kids! The same swimming pool where I suppoused to swim 1000 mts. to stay in shape for my upcoming surgery (yes I know I still haven't said anything about this and btw I'm unable to swimm 1000 mts :-( ) and guess what, its impossible to swimm with 50 kinds jumping around.

Luckly they have a swimming pool just for serious people, the bad thing is that many swiss people above 50 are not very good swimmers (don't kill me thats what I have seen!) so at the end I had to choose between the jumping kids and the floating croquettes.

Sometimes life is about awful choices... I chose the croquettes swimming pool and I almost land with my face on a poor fat woman ass. Not very nice for a Sunday morning....

I'm back and I'm a "Frau" now!

This lasts months I've been the laziest blogger in the world but now that I'm a serious married woman I will try to publish tons of cooking stuff, cleaning tricks and al sort fo sexual perversions to keep your husband interested.

No way I'm doing that... maybe some non food and very clean sexual tricks but not for free!

Halloween, All Saints, the Castanyada...

Halloween is wining the battle against our traditions for the 1st of November.

Spanish people used to get dressed and visit their dead relatives.

In Catalunya we also gather together on the 31 of October and celebrate the Castanyada, eating roasted chestnuts, backed sweet potatoes and panellets.

I specially love the Castanyada it allways makes me think about my grandfather sitting next to a barbacue cooking some "Rovellons" the best mushroom ever. Seriously with some good toasted bread and tomato, olive oil and Rovellons your live is complete.

Even so, Halloween in winning. why?
1. Who wants to eat roasted chestnuts and poanellets when the weather is nice and almost 20 ºC outside?
2. All traditional meals of the Castanyada are hipercaloric, and nowadays people is obssesed with being thin.3. Cementeries can be depressing, if you still miss your dead grandpa going there will make you cry, if you don't miss them, why bother?!
4. Our traditions don't invite anyone to get drunk and have fun but Halloween allows you to put on a sexy Supergirl dress and hook up with some hut guy (if you are lucky).

I'm absolutely obssesed with this images from artist Ursus Wehrli it reminds me when my mums goddaughter used to come home and tidy up everything. She was about 4 years old and spoke like she was 70, she was just amazing, she could spend two hours putting organising, classifiying and studing everything that was on my table.

I remember one day she asked me to organise my bags, neckalces, bracelets and other stuff that was all over the room, she made little groups by size, colour. I always have some (new of course) tampons in my bags, just in case, so usually my closet is full of them, all the ones she found where in a perfect row by colour!

When she asked what those "weird pens" were, I told her to ask her mum ja ja ja !

It makes me feel so old to see she is a beautiful young woman now!

I know... I've been dead for many weeks but the days before and after summer vacation are always pretty hectic and during them... well I don't want to even touch my computer!!

Our holdays in Portugal were, I loved the country, the landscapes, the FOOD! Omg I can't stop thinking about "almejas a bulhao pato", they were so good!

This was also our first trip with another couple, Nadja and Pol turned out to be great travel companion and we had tons of fun.

There where only two black spots: my not-so-fun-fuck-me-i'm-stupid adventure prior my friends wedding (more details soon) and this hotel (just suitable for deaf people or vampires).

This summer we are going to Portugal :-) The weekend with my girls in Mallorca made me realise I actually miss the sea.

The lake is wonderful and I still believe Zürich is one of the most beautiful cities in the world but I miss the happiness of licking the salt of your arm and scratching your butt covered in white sand.

The main reason to go to Portugal is a wedding, one of our friends is getting married there so I will probably get a fun pre-wedding-hairdresser story to tell when I come back.

I love going to unknown hairdressers, I find it exciting, you can end up looking like this:

I finally received this nice book, Printing by Hand form Lena Corwin, I guess now you know what I'm goint to do this summer... or at least try!

The firts tip is "don't start until you have everything you need", I was so excited I ride my bike to the closest Coop Bau+Hobby but they had just a few things :-( I didn't matter I stilla managed to print myself, the kitchen table and some pillows.

They don't look very nice but at least match my cat!

I haven't forgot about my Wardrobe Rehab project, I made a mig mess while in Spain and also here (its fucking difficult to manage to have a little bit of everything everywhere, I just realised all my summer shoes are in Spain !).

It was fun to try to stuff myself into jeans I even didn't remember I had and some awful dresses I don't want to picture.

The result:

1. Bags full of stuff to charity.
2. Some nice stuff I don't wear / fit anymore for my brothers girlfriend who hates to go shopping and is extremely happy when she can avoid it :-)
3. Some things that will be altered and then will stay.

I said it was a big mess.... Now I need to do the same in Zurich.

Ok I accept I have tons of clothes and even more shoes (most of them I'm not able to use them now because of my stupid hip/but but they will return to the active life soon I hope) but I still see miself pretty often saying "I don't know what to wear".

Some of the stuff I have, has been in my closet for ages and some other thing even have wear-hole no no.

Having to manage two closets (the suff I keep in Barcelona towear when I go there every month and my sutff here in Zürich) doesn't help, I have two closets full fo crap instead of one and -dont' ask me how- I often discover all my underwear ends up in one country (??? I still need to find out how!).

So, its time to get of the crap and try to keep it simple (at least for the clothes, I'm not sure if I can manage to do this with shoes).

One month ago I started to control my expenses with the easy and friendliest version of a personal finance software I could find, the cute little EEBA envelopes.

Too easy? Its perfect for me, and I tried 3 different things before. Marc Albert loves Quicken but I don't need that much now and spanish banks don't allow to download its data as it happens in USA so we can not enjoy many of its features. The same hapopens with its little brother Mint.

My "hobbies" envelope allready has destiny, its pretty bad than the 1st day of june I allready know that part of my budget is goind to disapeaer so fast! I'm bad :-(

Oh yes, my whole body hurts, well everything except the left arm, I didn't use that one on sunday when a crazy argentino tried to teach us how to play polo.

Thanks Gerard (thank you!) on Thursday we went to visit what migth be Eurodisney for geeks, the Google office!

We are a Google friendly home and small business, at home we are produ owners of HTC, my brother and I stille use the prehistoric HTC Dream, great if you want to train your tricepts whikle speaking!

Things I really loved in that place:

1. Their bring your pet policiy (I just saw dogs, I wonder if other animals are also allowed).

2. The fire pole, not that good if you are wearing a skirt like me and its summer but still fun.

3. The "fuck everything room", they call it watter something but my name is much better. A quiet darke place with aquariums full os beautiful creatures, nice surrounding music and massage couches, even a bath tub!!

4. The food. This is the worst thing when you work at home, cooking for one. Google has a ghuge kitchen with good food (even Mövenmpick ice cream!) and some little bars or cafeterias everywhere!

5. The non offical deco, the things people bring to warm up the place. Posters, pictures, and geeks stuff that beat my golden cat and my "Mr Krabs"!

Yesterday was my last day of Aquafit (maybe I'll start again but I want to try Pilates first). Usually you do all those water activities with music. Our last teacher included some songs of Paulina Rubio but the new one prefers traditional swiss music like this:

Men those people just love barbecues if the sun is shinning and he weekend is here you'd better run to the supermarket otherwise you will find NOTHING. Really, even thing you would never use in a barbecue, they just buy it and try.

On saturday we started our bbq saison with 12 hours of beer and meet, maybe thats why i'm feeling like Homer Simpson today...

I also jumped into the lake (Placid didn't because he had been sick for 2 weeks), the watter was great but I stille hate seaweed.... the are like fingers of dead people iucs!

Bbq make many living beings happy, specially ducks, when the sun goes down, families leave the park and the young people arrive to get drunk and burn some cervelas, ducks come hunting for everything they can eat!

I love them, I've been to shy and stupid to wear hats as often as I would like to but I love everything you can but on your head. Many people do and some of them like to show it proudly!!

Last sunday took place the 7th hat parade (no idea how to translate this) in Barcelona,. The rules? Wear something on your head and join the crowd!

Placid was sick so I stayed there just a few minutes but next year no one will beat me, even this cool fascinator!!

You just need to know one thing:

DON'T DO IT, Its a waste of time really.

If you don't want them to sleep on your couch, or your jacket, or the clothes you just have been ironing and folding there is just one solution, find something waaaaay better to sleep on.

1. An expensive new black wool coat (your cat need to be grey, white or orange, black cats dont like black clothes they don't see their own hair on it!).

2. A super smoot blaket your mum gave you for Christmas.

The sun is shinning and the weather is sweet so I took my bike and tried to follow (a little bit) this route from veloland.ch , it was wuite nice but at one point it looked like :-( so I decided to follow this other one and found this:

Brunau Park its called (if I'm not mistaken) and after one year I'm still amaced that in 40 minutes riding my bike from home I can reach this, and I'm really lazy and have a crappy bike there are so many other paths and excursions to do... I'll really miss this, I'm not sure I will be able o find such nice short bike excursions in Barcelona.

It looks like it is indeed a popular place for comiting suicide. This leads me to think, are there popular places in this field? Places massively choosen by many people to kill themselves? oh yes there are.

I'm not sure if this is :-( or :-)

On one hand...when someone decides to do the ultimate act of loneliness, one of the few things you can just do alone, die, our tendecy to look for companion and to be accepted leads us to look for a popular place, something "known". Isn't it ironic? If the place is popular maybe you find someone, you speak to someone, you change your mind (or you get some tricks to do it better)... I don't know.

On the other hand... fuck! nowadays popularity is relevant on everything!!!

I created the tag "wedding" now it will be easy to follow our experiencies throught this silky and complicated universe!!

So, the dress..... Although I won't be wearing a real wedding gown I realised had no idea about chiffon, tulle, silk and all this mist... so my freidns told me to check some traditional stores to get in touch with the exciting world of wedding gowns. What was I missing!

Last week we went here and here, after that, my mum made some excursions or interesting phone calls to other places (some of them looked very professional and where extremely nice like Raimon Bundo and Tot-hom thumbs up for them).

1. lesson: time flies.

In the wedding industry time flies speccially for those stores that do their dresses somewhere in the 3rd world. They expect you to choose and pay more than 6 months ahead, oh yes 6 months is nothing!

Its really fun to see that the small stores that actually do and sew your dress there (and therefore are flexible to make changes and get what you want not what the 2011-2012 catalog says) need less time!

I guess some financial director decided its was good to get money asap, ok I understand, money is money.

2. you don't choose.

Well I did but in one place the only thing I got was:

A- I see you like them different....

(ok thanks but this is good or bad lady?)

B- dresses I hadn't choose and made me look like a chicken. Check this out.

C- Serious doubts about the way I look.

¿Do I look like I'm extremely worried about the price? ¿OMG thats me? (this question is a must in a room absolutely covered in mirrors with a bad choice of colours and light, oh yes, get naked please and feel embarrased, thats how brides what to feel!!)

In the other place the dresses where nice and the woman knew more about wedding dresses but I was dissapointed, I wanted to see and try short wedding dresses (in fact I called to make sure they had them!!), but no, "brides don't wear short dresses, no no". Ok men.

Lucky me I'm in Zurich now and my poor mum is doing all the job ja ja ja !!

Placid and me are loving this tv show on Channel 4 and we are doing our little projects. The pictures suck but the food is improving.

What we like about him (appart form the fact that he is really messy, uses old "home-looking" kitchet stuff instead of super-fancy and new pots) is that he makes it easy and fun to cook. Ok maybe too much chilly everywhere for our mediterranean taste but everything is great.

Spanish cooking tv shows suck, we have Karlos Arguiñano, who is fine but has been doing the same thing for ... 30 years? I don't know, and the Catalan TV got a young guy who was ok but nothing special.

Great food in a great country, shitty TV shows to teach useless cookers like me!

I know its been a while without any "tourist" updates about Zürich, two weeks ago we went ice skating to the Dolder but until now I could get some time to post aboutit.

The Dolder is an open-air ice rink build in 1930 where swiss people show off what they have and tourist like me crawl around trying to keep their buts away from the ground.

We did it. You can rent the shoes for a quite affordable price (amazing in Zurich!) and "slide" to your swiss citizenship. Its close to the zoo and probably the area in Zurich with more kinds pro square meter.

So Placid and me want to do things fast this means we need to:

1. learn all about weddings
2.do the paper work
3.decide and pay everything

So we thougth, there must be some webwith online toools to organise this crap.. oh my Google, some? there a 10.008.587.574.893 of them! specially in the states. I mean, Spain may have a nice weather and big families but the wedding bussines in the States is huge.

And its not just the wedding, they beat us in celebrations to eat (and we were so proud about that... ) engagement dinner, rehersal dinner, the venue, the after-wedding brunch ...?!!!

At the end we decided for the classic www.marthastewartweddings.com, I've been using martha stewart website for crafts like my tye -die experiment (wait for the come back this summer I have 50 white tshirts to try!!) but I had never looked at the "wedding" section. Until now.

Holy crap do we really need to do all these things?!!!!! Well we... according to that webiste the groom doesn't exist! You you you... no we anywhere. Men of the world join us in the easy 50%-50% wedding revolution.

The funniest one is the check-list, its quite useful of course but they put you some default tasks like
(and these ones where the first on the list so I guess they must be pretty important):

Get Inspired! Browse your favorite wedding dress gallery to get ideas for your own dress!
Start your wedding workout routine now! Eat well, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep. You may even want to join a gym or get a personal trainer to give you some motivation!

Oh yeah, thats the motivation I'm eating right now.

I have to say Düsseldorf is much uglier than Zürich but its a great place to party!

The city with the longest bar in Europe takes its title seriously and you can see people having a drink there anytime. Is it cold? Do't worry two drinks instead of two!

And the euro makes everything much better (I love you mi litle cheap coin)....

The old city is beautiful and don't be surprised to find many old gentlemen dressed like that around February, Carnival is big in Düsseldorf!

The best thing of the city apart from my girls? (and boy, Santi!) a sandwich!

Beware because "funky shredded beef with caramelized onions ina wrap" can turn out to be a dry piece of bread with 2 inches of minced raw meat and onion on top. Yes, you will end up looking like this!

I have a lot fo things to explain, a fun night at the karaoke, my flu and a girls weekend in Düsseldorf, the only thing I don't have is time!!!

I'll start with the karaoke night!

Some weeks ago I meet with some freinds at la Stanza (great place to look for a husband) after the drink we went for some dinner and when whe were thinking, well its time to go home.... Placid said "let's go to a karaoke, there is one next door".

Well.... I had fun but the place is really creepy and dirty. Alcohol is cheap, (you will realise why the day after).

If you want to have a fun surrealistic night thats your place.

Thats what pigs do in Spanish, I forgot to show you a nice cute little something we found in the supermarket in January.

The raisins that make the eyes popped out in the oven now it looks a little bit cross-eyed but still cute. Its a sort of pig sorloin with spinachs and ham. Placid got onw with chicken, its funny because the one with pig looks like a pig, the onw with chicken is a hedgehog!

I feel like a ping pong ball. I just came back from Barcelona, the weather in Zurich is just amazing, 4 days of wonderful sun, its a pitty I have to work!! :-(

During this two weeks I met my friend first child Nicolas, so cute and quiet. I also manage to finish this! He is too small for it yet but they grow really fast so its perfect.

So, last-last Sunday we went here to float like veggies in a soup.

I loved it.

At firdt we thought there was a secret entrance to Narnia, Eurodisney or something like that, there is no other explanation to the 45509684736261784 kids jumping, screaming half naked in the dressing room.

Yes, just one dressing room for everyone. You can fight with a huge Swiss family for a small cabin to put of your swim suit alone or make the funny "towel-ass-underwear-trouser" technique. (I will post a video about that one, without the ass part).

The place is huge, they have like 4 or 5 different pools outside (you cannot used them now of course), even a warm one (kids not allowed iuju!) to sit, relax, and freeze your ears.

We sat there until our toes looked like raisins, when we got inside (where you can find 2 more swimming pools we discoverer a worderful watterslide "for the kids".

Just for kids? Ja! I left half of them deaf screaming iujuju! while sliding down.

My quarter looks like a Tim Burton Christmas movie, dead christmas trees everywhere.... you need to leave them on the street on one special day, and don't dream about leaving them some where near the garbage, they won't take it away and yes, you can get a fine. A nice one.

Baby fever

So, my uncle got two babies in Christmas, they were pretty small but healty :-) and my friend (the frist one of the bunch to decide to jump into the motherhood crazyness) got his this wednesday.

So I've been pretty busy knitting my first baby stuff. I have to admit its really nice, I bought a super sweet Merino yarn and the pattern knits super fast.

Now I need some help to sew it all together and knit the collar.(some = mum)

Then one will travell to Santander (with another thing that I'm still working at) and another one will travell to Barcelona!

Health issues are a pain in the ass

Some of you noticed I've been complaining about my back since.. last June! :-(

Here is an explanation, maybe google will make this useful for someone one day.

I March due to the wonderful, not stressful at all combination of moving-being expatriate to Schwitzerland-Ikea I got what looked like a little bit of sciatica. I'm like Rambo (but better looking) so I did nothing.

April and May went ok but June... hmmm some weird pain appeared again in my butt that radiated all the way down to my foot. So I finally decided to use the wonderful medical insurance we got from Placids employer and went to the doctor here.

Movemed... where Swiss super sportsmen go! And old Swiss standard men too! (its a good place, I'm not healthy yet but I recommend them its not their fault that my body is stupid!)

So from that day on, me and my right piriformis muscle started a love&hate relationship. I'm the queen of abs and stretching my ass in weird ways (for 5 € I do it in weddings and conventions), I also have 100 tons of Spanish and Swiss anti-inflammatories (really expensive here, I feel like a drug dealer everytime I come back from Barcelona).

About one moth ago I finally started to see some results and got a training routine (yes my dears no weird sport just a little bit of bike ridding since March'10, no weird fun experiments in bed either) my physiotherapist combined with the exercises I keep on doping 5 time everyday!

Body is a tricky thing, for no reason I got this stupid injury that appears to be common in athletes (my hip really doesn't know me at all). Stress make it worst of course so, going to Spain for work is painful, my ass is Swiss now, what can I say! But well, I was improving

But now... a week ago I felt a argh! pain in my feet. Plantar fasciitis. Again my feet have no idea who I am.

Why? Ja ja its something sooo fun to ask a doctor, they are like lawyers!

The thing looks like we are successfully correcting the bad position of my hip, leg, knee etc but my feet, after almost 30 years are not happy about that.

Nobody likes changes I understand but I'm really tired about this.

The good thing, the pain in my feet make the pain in my hip (that doesn’t like to stay seated for a long time) look smaller. :-(

So if someone got these or any kind of injury which needed a long time to recover please, what did you do to stay motivated and positive? Its not really my thing (I love complaining about everything )but I need some positive input to keep on working.

And if someone tells me those injuries are here to teach me how to be positive I'll kick his/her ass!

So, I went to the Zoo by myself on thursday (nobody was working back home -the 6th of January its a holiday- and I decided to celebrate my own 2 magic kings day in the Zoo).

I havent been a big fan of Zoos (?) since I went to the one in Barcelona many years ago. A piece of advice, don't go there, its depressing its falling apart too small for the animals, they should definitely close it (there hare rumours a big and worderful new Zoo is going to be build but these rumors exist since.... allways! and the awful small Zoo is stille there, and the poor animals too).

But I realise many other countries do it better and the Zürcher Zoo apperas to be a good one, one where animals are actually in good conditions and feel alive.

On the other side this Zoo has really popular atraction, the Penguin Parade. Evryday, when its cold enoguth (under 10ºC) the penguis make a little walk around the Zoo. You can stay there and watch them walk.

Sounds silly? Who cares they are super fun and cute. They walk around with the cooles attitude you can imagine, like they own the place.

A friend told me some years ago they walk down Bahnhofstrasse :-P

Its not a cool App for Android, its the result of no light + fog + my hands frozen. Walking around on such days is beautiful, its worth to spend more than 30 minutes getting dressed (I'm wearing more layers than a cake!).

I hope everybody enjoyed the holidays, I spent them here in Zürich with Uxim. Placid and Julia went to Spain and we got a pet sitter (so no wild party at home).

2011 doesn't look really good. I'm on a diet.

Our new vet doesn't understand I'm a healthy bog-boned feline female, no... she says I'm just FAT.

Apparentely my head shouldn't be smaller than my ass (!!)

Lucky me getting thiner as a cat is easier as a human. I see then suffering in the gym, eating 2 kg of peaches everyday for one month and sweating inside some weird plastic pants.

My diet is muuuch better, the only one who sweats is Placid everytime he has to buy my new super-fit-ultra-mega-rich dry food. Obesity its called, so original.

So I just seat, eat, sleep and go to the toilet. What a hard life...

Of course I still look everywhere just in case i find something better (and fattier to eat). The dryer is a good place, specially after laundry day.

So to sum up,

Swiss housewifes (Hausfrau) do their own candles for the Advent Kalender in the small Kerzenziehen places around Switzerland where (depending on the time, money and patience you have) you can get a small rope and dip it until it becomes something similar to a candle.

They also do wonderful wreaths and Christmas decorations for an ecological Christmas tree their super-macho men cut on the forest (ok I made this up but I promise there is a special day to "go and cut it yoursef!").

We cannot forget they also bake delicious cookies (Migros O love you sooo much)

But there is more....

They take their 103.405 kids to the singing christmas tree, a torture instrument where they sit for hours freezing and singing (not very well I have to say) christmas songs and some hits from Rihanna.

Lucky me with some warm vine everything sounds great, I might even sing along!

Wreaths for eveyone!

I allready showed you the wreath I made using some stuff from Migros and Ikea. The truth is that I wantes ot use oine from Ikea, the snövita wreath.

I bought two and I realised all my ideas looked like shit. Until now! This weekend I finished this. I used some felt stash I had at home, scissors, tons of glue and paper and a pen to draw the figures.

Honestly I'm satisfied with the result I think is quoite cute. I made one with Sankt Nicohlaus for our place and another with the 3 Magic Kings for my parents.

Cultural note: the 3 magic kings (Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar) come on the 6th of january, they bring gifts and stuff. At home each one of us had a special king that left us notes (little feedback from our parents about our behaviour - I remember taking them really seriously even when I knew thei were written by my parents-).

I have to say I like them better than Santa Claus and othe rtraditions that are coming from other countries,I'm really old minded for Christmas stuff.

I want traditional food, stay with my family and old friends... I have the whole year to be subversive!

Busy girl

I have the firm intention to start 2011 with a small stash of yarn. During years I'm been buying yarn without knowing what to o with it just because it was nice, not in 2011. 15kg of yarn its a lot of crap to move from Spain to Switzerland so its time to clean up.

The problem is to find the right project to use the 4, 3 or 1 skein of wathever I have. This weekend was the turn of 4 keis of Rowan Country, a nice bulky yarn I had for 2 years smelling like poo ina plastic bag. Some yarn smell like real wool but this one was going on a trip to a farm. Not nice.

2 years later the smell is gone (Uxim in not happy with that, she like poo) and I've been busy doing une berret and 2 cuffwarmers. With the left overs a made another funny hat.

Its Christmas, I'm thinking I could make something to give it away to a lucky reader but I'm not sure I have one!!!
